Happy Valley Ranch began breeding Brahman cattle in 1975 and in 1979, we had our first production sale.
From this time on, Happy Valley Ranch became very familiar with production sales, hosting 12 sales from 1979-1989. The
1984 production sale tops the list with a average of over $7,500.
Happy Valley Ranch began showing cattle in the early 80's and has successfully exhibited many animals. 1986 was a great year
in the showring. We exhibited the Reserve International Champion Red Brahman Female, Miss HV 399/4, the International Calf
Champion Red Female, Miss 502/5, and the Reserve National Champion Red Female, Miss HV 502/5.
Our next major show success was in 1991 when Happy Valley Ranch exhibited the National Champion Red Brahman Bull, Mr. HV Max
892/8 and the Junior National Champion Bull, Mr. HV Crown Royal 903/9. From this time on Happy Valley has had a nice string of
showring wins including: 1992 International Brahman Show all calf division class winners, Calf Champion and Reserve Calf Champion
(Calf Champion sired by Mr. HV 892/8), 1993 National Champion Red Bull, Mr. HV Justice 110, and 1997 National Champion Red Bull,
Mr. HV Patriot 278/4.
Happy Valley Ranch is also pleased to say that the top selling lot at the 2001 International Brahman Sale was one of our own, Miss HV 530/8,
selling for $10,000.
